Using a base tag on a global wrapper…

I notice that most IDX pages use absolute URLs. It appears that perhaps the roster and agent listing pages do not. Wouldn’t it be easier if all IDX pages always used absolute URLs so developers could use global wrappers with relative URLs and a base tag? If all IDX pages used absolute links, the base tag would not affect them. Instead, the base tag would apply only to the links in the wrapper itself. That would leave developers free to use dynamic wrappers from a variety of CMS platforms by only adding a base tag. I wonder what I am missing.

I agree this would be useful. However this would require a bit of a restructure in the IDX Broker system. Like the CMS platforms mentioned we wanted to sue relative urls too.
