Should a MLS demands and enforce IDX data updates at least every 12 hours this MLS will be removed from the Original system and any clients will be be forced to migrate. The legacy IDX Broker Original system can not handle intra day updates. How to migrate.

Migration now would be a good idea to avoid a forced and possibly rushed migration later. As we all know the MLSs make the rules on these things and decide when this would take place. There is no timetable information from these MLSs.

Below is list of MLSs that have made the commitment to 12 hour updates.
Forced migrations have NOT yet taken place at the time of this post:

Wasn’t the NAR policy regarding 12 hour updates required in January 2015 by all MLS’s? Or is it up to the individual MLS’s as to when to require 12 hour updates?

NAR creates policy for it’s association, however it is up to the MLSs to decide when and what they will do. NAR can make all the recommendations to MLSs they like, but these are just recommendations not MLS rules. Any MLS is it’s own entity and each decides how and when they will change their rules.

OK, so when an MLS adopts NAR’s rules into its policy for 12 hour updates, and since IDX Broker doesn’t provide 12 hour updates, how should the realtor respond when their MLS tells them they need 12 hour updates on their website?

Any MLS that contacts a realtor directly on this issue really should contact IDX Broker directly, as the realtor can not adjust the data refresh times.
