Can you considering adding unique URL’s, page titles and page descriptions for all the canned or generic IDX search results pages. For example if the “canned” search is “Lots & Land Properties for Sale in Blue Ridge, GA Between $500,000 – $600,000”, can that dynamic data be injected into the page titles and descriptions and preferably the unique URL’s? That way we might end up with a URL of http://getresults.mountainplacerealty.com/idx/results/listings/properties-for-sale-in-blue-ridge-ga-between-$500,000-$600,000 rather than http://getresults.mountainplacerealty.com/idx/results/listings?idxID=b251&city%5B%5D=4581&lp=400000&hp=500000&pt=4<http://getresults.mountainplacerealty.com/idx/results/listings?idxID=b251&city[]=4581&lp=400000&hp=500000&pt=4>. The page title might be <title>Lots & Land Properties for Sale in Blue Ridge, GA Between $500,000 – $600,000</title> <meta name=”description” content=”Lots & Land Properties for Sale in Blue Ridge GA Between $500,000 – $600,000 – Mountain Place Realty – Real Estate for sale in Blue Ridge, GA” />
This would eliminate the duplicate page title and duplicate page descriptions that now populate all the canned or automatically generated search results.

So you are looking to have search random search results pages indexed? Why not just created saved links for the results you want visitors to find? Indexing random results sounds like a good way to get a lot of bad results after an MLS changes fields which happens more often than one would think.

Antonio,
Thank you for the response.
No, I am not wanting to index random search results pages – I am wanting to make the sitemap “canned” searches IDXBroker automatically generates valuable from an SEO standpoint. Specifically, the pages that get listed on the idx/sitemap page.
For example, visit this page: http://getresults.mountainplacerealty.com/idx/sitemap
Then under SEARCH REAL ESTATE FOR SALE BY CITY select Blue Ridge, Georgia Real Estate<http://getresults.mountainplacerealty.com/idx/city-b251-Blue%20Ridge-4581>, then Residential Properties for Sale in Blue Ridge, GA Between $400,000 – $500,000<http://getresults.mountainplacerealty.com/idx/results/listings?idxID=b251&city%5B%5D=4581&lp=400000&hp=500000&pt=1>. This page and all that are produced by the sitemap have duplicate page title and page description. If they each had a unique URL, a unique page title, and an unique page description (that ideally we could customize somewhat as with saved searches) would this not help rather than hinder SEO?
On this page for example: Residential Properties for Sale in Blue Ridge, GA Between $400,000 – $500,000<http://getresults.mountainplacerealty.com/idx/results/listings?idxID=b251&city%5B%5D=4581&lp=400000&hp=500000&pt=1>
Rather than the URL being: http://getresults.mountainplacerealty.com/idx/results/listings?idxID=b251&city[]=4581&lp=400000&hp=500000&pt=1<http://getresults.mountainplacerealty.com/idx/results/listings?idxID=b251&city%5B%5D=4581&lp=400000&hp=500000&pt=1>
It might be: http://getresults.mountainplacerealty.com/idx/results/listings/residential-properties-for-sale-in-blue-ridge-ga-between-$400000-$500000 or something similar
Same for the page title and page description.
Sorry if I’m missing something here in terms of your intent on how best to use the IDXBroker sitemap.
Thanks so much for your consideration and assistance,
