    Marc,

Have you tried using this option in the widgets?

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/8fvkh9av46uq93l/Screen%20Shot%202021-08-27%20at%2010.39.58%20AM.png?dl=0

If that doesn’t work, contact me directly. We have a Saved Search to Widget tool at idxaddons.com that may be a solution for you.

    Thanks,
    James

I agree with Glenn on this.

What would really be nice is an XML dump of ALL the settings that are in IDX Broker. Make an export, and an import. Then we can do what Glenn did and make an incredible site with a ton of customizations, then replicate that for other users. This makes it fast and easy for us to setup new folks. That would help us lower our prices and get more clients into the IDX Broker ecosystem.

    Jeff,
I see that you didn’t get any response to this.

There are a couple of tools out there that will connect Gravity Forms to IDX Broker. Just go to the plugin repo and type IDXBroker and you should see a few options

    Charra,

I don’t know if the IDX folks are going to respond to you, but I also use WPEngine, and I am sure this is an issue with our stuff too.

What about just commenting out the lines in the plugin that calls those 2 functions?

    Thanks,

    James

    Charra,

We are working on a tool for IDX Addons that will do many of these things. I like the map search idea for the agents.

What is ” Master on the Main”???

The biggest issue I see here is that for one MLS to make everything work great for their MLS is much easier than for IDX Broker to make a tool that is as dynamic and has as rich a feature set for many MLS.

    That is the core issue.

Our new tool is Agents – Leads on WP. Let me know if you have some ideas that we can implement.

    Thanks,

    James

I think the first question is “should I switch to Equity”?

We have been using Genesis for years and we really like their framework. Our developers have developed a nice skill set with Genesis.

Last week, I had an opportunity to visit with Chad Johnson from AgentEvolution, and he really shed some light on Equity for me:

He explained that many of the hooks that Equity uses are very similar to Genesis hooks. He also explained that they are working to REALLY integrate more IDX Broker API features into the framework. He also mentioned that as time goes by, AgentEvolution will give more and more emphasis to Equity and less and less to their Genesis themes.

After my phone call with Chad, I decided that we are going to commit to using Equity with our clients. We also have touted the benefits of Genesis to a lot of people over the years, but what we really want is the very best IDX Broker and WordPress solution for our clients. If that is going to be Equity in the future, then it is time that we make the switch.

We want to take advantage of the power of the branding of IDX Broker and AgentEvolution in our marketing. We are going to be doing all of our new theme development this year on Equity.

Yes, there are going to be some things that we are going to have to re-do and re-code and duplicate, but I am sure it will pay off.

I was really impressed with Chad and Dave Bonds’ kindness and desire to really build a world-class platform for WordPress real estate sites. As much as we like the folks at Copyblogger/StudioPress, they don’t have that real estate focus. Since all we know how to do is IDX Broker, WordPress and real estate, working with Equity makes more sense for us in the long run. If you are in the same boat as we are, then I think we all better figure out how to build on the Equity framework as fast as we can.

We do have a few Genesis themes that we are going to convert to Equity. After we do that, maybe I can learn some tricks to share here that facilitate that process for others.

in reply to: Sold Data #200

What are the plans for bringing the sold data from the MLS to IDX Broker.

I understand that at NAR the rules changed and the MLSes are going to be required to provide SOLD data.

We are getting pressure from agents to provide that information.

What is your timeline for bringing that data to the IDX Broker feeds?
