in reply to: Update Omnisearch to use account MLS settings #2607
Whoever put up that generic omnibar branch – thank you. I looked at creating this a couple years ago and put it on the backburner, so I’m happy to see a premade one available to use. Works flawlessly.

I’d like to see something akin to the “omni-search” widget that comes with the WordPress integration.
Think about it from a user’s perspective – if I land on a REALTOR site I’m going to want to search by city name or zip code or maybe county name…I should be able to start typing that in (ideally with an auto-complete box) and submit. What I’ve done on my sites is manually hardcode a search form and put the cities in a dropdown list, because we don’t really have anything out of the box available. I’ve begun on an omni-search implementation for my own uses, but if it will be available as a basic widget soon that would be even better.

Are you interested in pull requests? I see last commit was over a year ago so I don’t want to bother pushing any changes if the repo is sort of dead. It looks like a good base (or at least has inspired me) for my needs at the very least, so thanks.
This feels like a glaring omission by IDX Broker with the default widgets in any event, and is something I think should be available out of the box (and not just with the WordPress plugin).
